Patrice Roberts’ Mind My Business reigns as the No. 1 Soca song for 2022 year-end on the Soca Source charts, which blends streaming and radio airplay data.
Released on December 19, 2021, within a week, Mind My Business was setting a heavy pace, hitting the Apple Music & iTunes charts in 11 countries, leading off at #14 with the Canadians on iTunes (Reggae). The song debuted at #1 on the Soca Source Weekly Chart the Week of Jan 4-10 and remained in the Top 5 for the entire Q1 and much of Q2 2022.
Mind My Business represents 30% of Patrice’s total Spotify streams (15.3m) for 2022 – a milestone not only for the artist, but for the Soca genre overall. As of today, the song has hit the charts in over 140 countries with over 4.45 million Spotify streams – increasing its early rate of 5k Spotify streams per day – to now over 13k per day.
In addition to heavy Spotify streaming, the song has dominated the Caribbean market on iTunes, capturing #1 (All Genres) in 9 countries including in her native Trinidad & Tobago. On iTunes (Reggae), the song expanded its reach peaking at #1 in an additional 12 countries including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Egypt, Canada & Australia.
On Apple Music (Reggae), the song peaked in the Top 10 across Europe, Africa & the Middle East including: #2 in Kuwait, #5 in Namibia & Oman, #8 in Saudi Arabia & Egypt, and #10 in Botswana & Qatar.
