Grenada is for Soca Lovers.
In 2022, Grenada heavily streamed Soca Music, especially compared to its Caribbean neighbors and beyond. During the year, Grenada music lovers streamed 47 different Soca songs heavily enough to land them at #1 on the Grenada Apple Music / iTunes charts – streaming at least 20% more songs at #1 than any other Caribbean island.
Anguilla, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago round out the Top 5 Caribbean countries streaming heavy amounts of Soca Music in 2022, with British Virgin Islands, Dominica and Antigua & Barbuda not too far behind.
Outside the Caribbean the United Kingdom enjoyed their fair share of Soca Music in 2022, slightly edging out Canada & the United States in the volume of Soca Music they consumed and streamed heavily.
France (which streamed as much Soca as Antigua & Barbuda) appears to be the next up-and-coming destination for Soca Music in Europe, especially as the French Caribbean Soca artists have been pushing the riddims across seas – the French ears are becoming more familiar to the sounds of Soca.
