Dansa Overtakes Too Much on Spotify

A New Benchmark for Klassik Frescobar

Nearly eleven months after its release, Dansa by Klassik Frescobar has surpassed Too Much to become his most-streamed song on Spotify, a notable shift in his catalogue driven by sustained listener demand rather than a short-term spike.

Released on January 24, 2025, Dansa, produced by DJ Kalli and Boogy Rankss, is currently trending at just under 30,000 Spotify streams per day. That weekly pace is roughly six times higher than Too Much, which continues to average just over 5,000 streams per day, based on its long-standing popularity, still trending heavy when compared to its peers.

Too Much, a collaboration with Marzville produced by Punz Entertainment and released on January 27, 2021, had long been the benchmark in Klassik’s catalog, nearing 9.5 million Spotify streams as it approaches its fifth anniversary. The song also remains Marzville’s biggest record on Spotify to date, holding more than double the Spotify streams of his next closest track, Give It To Ya, a widely regarded Soca classic.

Peers of Too Much (currently. 9.45M) and now Dansa (currently. 9.51M) in Klassik Frescobar’s Spotify streaming context include Cocoa Tea by Kes & Tano (currently. 8.9M), Mr. Fete produced by Precision Productions and released in 2012 (currently. 9.48M) and Like Ah Boss, produced by Deputy (of Roc Nation), co-produced by London Future, released in 2015 (currently. 9.65M), both by Machel Montano.  Based on current trends, Dansa is poised to surpass these tracks on Spotify by early 2026, positioning it just below the likes of Bunji Garlin’s Big Bad Soca, which currently holds slightly over 11.2M Spotify streams.

The fact that Dansa has overtaken Too Much in under a year is significant. When newer material begins to outperform established hits, it reflects more than catalogue loyalty; it signals that current releases are resonating with both existing fans and new listeners. In this case, Klassik is not relying solely on legacy momentum, but actively expanding engagement through fresh work.

At the same time, the continued strength of Too Much underscores the long-tail value of Klassik’s catalog. Together, the two records illustrate a healthy balance: enduring discovery of past releases alongside accelerating demand for new music.

Dansa’s rise marks a clear point of progress, not just as a successful release, but as a new reference point in Klassik Frescobar’s career trajectory.
