Motto & Sean Kingston release “EGO”

A Love Song Crossing Cultural and Sonic Boundaries

Saint Lucian artist-producer Motto, based in Florida and founder of TeamFoxx LLC, has released EGO, a collaboration with international hitmaker Sean Kingston, known for “Beautiful Girls.” Produced by Nigerian beatmaker Zion Beatz with additional instrumentation from soca producer Boogy Rankss, the track also features bass, percussion, and synths by Motto and Yannick Plante. Mixing and mastering were handled in St. Lucia by Minor Productions.

The track’s sound is as global as its team, blending Caribbean and African influences into a love song that stretches beyond borders. For Motto, who currently draws nearly 60K monthly Spotify listeners and has amassed close to 17 million Spotify streams with songs like “Big Ride,” “One Woman,” and “Uber Everywhere”, EGO is a strategic step, pairing his Soca audience with Kingston’s massive digital reach: 19 million monthly listeners and over 3.5 billion lifetime streams, including nearly 1 billion from the Radio Disney version of “Beautiful Girls.”

This year has seen Soca artists reach across genres with high-profile collaborations, and EGO continues that trend. Its release comes just a month after Kingston’s 42-month prison sentence in a million-dollar wire-fraud case, which limits traditional promotion but also underscores Motto’s focus on building connections and pushing Caribbean music beyond its usual boundaries.
